Using Your SHAPE to Live On Mission

Last week my boss, Rick Warren, asked me to take over the leadership of the purpose of "missions" for our church. He said to me, "Erik, I want people to live on mission through their SHAPE." This is so great!!! We now are not only helping people see how their SHAPE impacts how they serve God in ministry but also how they reach out into our community and world. Obrigado

Obrigado means "thank you" in Brazil where I just returned from training over 500 pastors on the concepts of "S.H.A.P.E.".

Obrigado to God for allowing me to train these wonderful men and women. I also want to say "Obrigado" to Hugo who was our guide while in Brazil. Hugo you did a wonderful job helping Jason and I all week. May God continue to bless you and your family.

Obrigado to everyone in Brazil...you have left a wondeful impression in my heart.

S.H.A.P.E. for Korea

WOW this has been a blessing of a week for me. I return from a week of training in India to see that God is allowing S.H.A.P.E. to be translated into Portuguese and now Korean. This is just another sign of God's grace. Thank you Lord for continuing to use me to help your people realize they are a masterpiece and have a significance difference to make on earth with their lives for you.

Keep praying for the people of Korea as they live in a constant state of conflict.

S.H.A.P.E. for Teens

S.H.A.P.E. For Brazil

Praise God for allowing the message of S.H.A.P.E. to be translated into Portuguese. I will be traveling to Brazil in a few weeks to share S.H.A.P.E. with a few thousand pastors. Please keep me in your prayers as this will also be the release of this new edition.

God I'm grateful you would use me to empower the people of Latin America for your glory.

1000's in India

WOW! What a week. Just returned from training 2,400 pastors in India. The people there were so hungry for tools to help them lead their churches. The week was ended with a great time of prayer, commissioning, and celebration. My life will never be the same again. They have so little but their hearts are full of so much joy, love, and praise for God.

Please continue to pray for the people of India...they love God so much and risk their lives for his service. India is a sleeping giant and it is my prayer that God uses the pastors there to awaken it for his glory.

Thanks God for using me in India!

God Rocks!!!

WOW God is so faithful!

I'm sitting in the Portland airport heading home from a weekend of speaking at Rolling Hills Community Church. It was so great to be used by God to help so many people fall in love with who God had made them to be. I still can't believe God is using me to mobilize his people. A task I pray I never take for granted. If you ever think about it please pray for me. Speaking of prayer...How can I speak of you? I welcome you prayer requests by commenting to this entry. Thankful!!!

What are you thankful for this year?

I'm so thankful this year for how God has shown his love and grace to me. I can't believe he choose me to be a global champion for him when it comes to empowering people to be who he made them to be. Just another sign of his grace. I'm also very thankful that I have a super job at Saddleback Church, get to serve with Rick Warren, and have the best wife and kids in the world.

Thank you God for your love, grace, and goodness. Please continue to sharpen me so I can make the most out of what you have given me.

100's Surrender

God is at work in New Mexico. Just finished a 2 day Only You Can Be You seminar and 100's surrender their lives to God. During the session, Surrendering To God, participants took 3x5 cards and indicated the stuff that has been distracting them and slowing them down from being who God shaped them to be. Then they took the cards and nailed to them a old wooden cross...wow it was powerful.

Keep me in your prayers...I'm sharing at two services on Sunday on how to live a life of true significance.

Praise God! Last weekend, while I was in Atlanta doing an Only You Can Be You Seminar and SHAPE Sermon, 25 people stepped across the line and accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. It was such a great time. They followed the three steps we outline for them...

Brilliant....That is what we heard over and over while we were in London training pastors and church leaders to maximize their God-given S.H.A.P.E. It was so great to empower them to empower their members to do the same. It was a great trip and God opened many doors for us to help, encourage, pray for, and support the church leaders in London. Keep these church leaders in your prayers...they need it.

Had a great time with Chuck and Jenni last week on their TV show...www.athomelive.com. Our prayer was that God would empower the viewers to be who he made them to be so they could do what he designed them to do for his glory. At the end of the day, that is all we can do...Maximize what we have been given by God for God. Are you living the life you were created by God to live...it you are not then make sure your discover your design this week.

I don't care if you have been in the ministry for years this book and the information it contains will surely bless you. Erik Rees, author, takes you on a journey with your Spiritual walk to help you reach the height that the Lord wants you on.

Are you searching for your purpose in God on this earth? Do you already know your purpose but wish to sharpen your skills? This book is for you. In this work our author helps us to define what is important to us and why. He helps us to see what gifts are working in our lives, how our personality supports those gifts and helps us understand that they are God given. He shows us pit-falls, explains how we can get off into trying to walk in something God has not called us to walk in and does it all in an easy to understand, down-right fun manner that you will have no problem in understanding and you will actually enjoy learning.
